You’re Never Too Old to Start Another Business
Retired and having reached the age of sixty six, good-paying jobs are difficult to find. Sometimes you can find work as an independent sales rep. but you’re competing with a lot of other reps. who are trying to make a sale in this tight economy. These companies have no financial stake in you such as benefits and they fully expect to have a lot of turnover.
I used to own my own business and employed independent sales reps., too. So, I know what other companies can, will or will not do and understand that they will make a profit any legal way possible. Having sales staff and no benefit-obligations just increases their odds of making sales. And if someone like me fails to sell enough I’m just expected to go back into retirement.
Even though I am highly qualified I wasn’t having any luck obtaining any kind of hourly or salaried position. All this was going on before the economy took a dive and job-loss numbers began sky-rocketing. Because of this ongoing economic tragedy I came to believe I’d have to do something totally different. I knew for sure I would NOT be a WalMart greeter or one of those people cleaning a McDonald’s lobby.
So, I did what I’d done as a younger man. I got busy. I took a vitamin, screwed up my courage and put my brain into overdrive. I soon discovered that a person could put himself or herself into business on the Internet with little or no money at all. I just needed a computer (I had that) and a plan.
I found a couple of really good companies that I could affiliate myself with and from which I could make a very good income . I also discovered some really great ways to promote my businesses, too. Some are completely free. Some cost me a little but the money I make more than offsets the expense. And by the way it is a legitimate business expense that can be deducted from my taxes.
Besides Canada and many other parts of the globe I have clients in nearly all fifty states. Other people are working and producing products and services because of my Internet business. This not only makes me very happy, it really is a win/win situation.
I enjoy the luxury of not having to work my business for eight hours each day. I can if I want but it’s not always necessary. Another perk is that with an internet connection I can run my business from beneath a palm tree while holding a cold umbrella drink if that’s what I’m in the mood to do.
Here’s how it has played out. I’m sixty-six now and I make a very good living with my Internet affiliate businesses despite a crappy economy. I can travel or stay at home, too. I’m not tooting my horn when I say I have more choices now. I’m not being arrogant when I suppose that you might find my new life appealing, either. So, how secure do you think your job is? Are you still working?
Well, don’t be envious. Do like I did. Take a vitamin, screw up your courage, think hard and get busy. An online business could be the answer to any financial difficulty you might have.
Ron Knowles for over sixty-six years has certainly been there, done that when building a MLM online business and earning cash at home. Emulating him may eliminate all those back-breaking bills you have. For a limited time you can get a free DVD on how to create endless leads and instant cash for any MLM.
